Havana Club Rum Museum (Museo del Ron Havana Club) is a must for rum – loving visitors, a lively an informative introduction to Cuba’s national drink. Opened in 2000 by the country’s most famous rum brand, Havana Club, the museum uses visuals and models to guide visitors through the whole rum-making process, from harvesting at sugarcane plantations to the final bottling process.

Visitors are led into different rooms that simulate rum distillery, fermentation and blending. In the center exhibition room, there is a model of sugarcane planation that even enacts a model steam train. At the end of the tour, visitors are offered a tasting of the seven-year-old Havana Club rum, and there is also a rum shop and a bar inside the museum. The tour charges $7 CUC a person and offers guided tours in English, Spanish and French.
