La Terraza is inarguably the best barbecue restaurant in Havana. The smoked pork chops in pineapple sauce, barbecued ribs and grilled octopus are to die for. The grilled sausage doused in spicy mustard sauce is a great starter – so juicy and tasty, it will really worked up your for the main course. Located in downtown Habana Vieja, on the third floor of the Asturias Society building, once home to one of the exclusive Spanish regional social clubs in Cuba. It also has a beautiful terrace overlooking the city. The restaurant also has an impressive rum list with multiple offerings from Cuba and the Dominican Republic, including many aged rums. This is a perfect place for a big lunch with friends and family. Book in advance if you want to secure a big table. The old-fashioned décor and creaky chairs brought down the mood a bit – although for some it may definitely add to the charm!
