A friend handed this cigar to me the other evening while I was eating outdoors on an island off the coast of Hong Kong called Lamma. The Por Larrañaga Robusto Exclusivo Asia Pacifico showed wonderful balance and finesse, yet delivered plenty of flavors even though I was smoking it outside. Gotta love robustos for outdoor smoking. I am a big fan of Por Larrañaga even though you seldom see the cigars except for the occasional regional edition smokes. Perhaps I am just nostalgic for great Por Larrañagas of the 1950s and 1960s, but I find the cigars always seem to show a mellow depth and beauty regardless of their vintages. This cigar certainly had that. Beautiful to smoke now. I hope to bring another box next time. They were produced for 2007.
